Spinfixx — Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 4 Aug 2026

1. Appliance Repairs Policy

1.1 Call-Out Fee & Labour Charge

If a service is not completed or declined, only the call-out fee applies.

Some premium brands (such as Miele or Fisher & Paykel) may incur additional charges.

Parts are charged separately and paid for when fitted. Special-order or high-value parts may require advance payment.

Any parts paid for but not required will be refunded in full.

1.2 Parts, Materials & Special Orders

Every reasonable effort will be made to obtain reliable parts at a cost-effective price.

Spinfixx may decline to fit third-party parts for safety or warranty reasons. If agreed to fit third-party parts, such work carries no warranty, and further visits may incur extra charges.

Special-order parts are non-refundable once ordered.

If diagnostic testing requires replacement components (such as PCBs or sensors) and new faults arise, additional parts and labour will be quoted separately.

Fitted parts are non-returnable unless found faulty or misdiagnosed.

Any parts paid for but not required will be refunded in full.

1.3 Booking & Repair Process

If parts are needed, they are usually ordered within one to two working days. Delivery depends on supplier stock.

Once parts arrive, we will contact you to arrange a follow-up visit.

1.4 Coverage & Limitations

We repair washing machines and washer dryers only.

Domestic appliances located in commercial premises can be serviced but are not covered by warranty.

Manufacturer, model, and age can affect part availability and repair feasibility.

Spinfixx is not liable for consequential losses such as laundry costs, time off work, or other indirect damages.

1.5 Parking & Additional Charges

Please provide free parking or a valid permit for our engineer.

Parking fees, Congestion, or ULEZ charges may be added if applicable.

Multi-appliance bookings are charged per appliance.

1.6 Stacked Units and Health & Safety Weight Limits

Our field service operations are structured for single-engineer dispatches. For health and safety compliance, we do not undertake repairs on stacked appliances (e.g., a dryer mounted on top of a washing machine) unless they have been safely unstacked and placed at floor level by the customer prior to our arrival. Furthermore, we cannot undertake any work, heavy lifting, or appliance extractions that technically require a two-engineer team to safely perform.

2. Issues That May Arise During Your Repair

2.1 Access, Environment & Safety

Ensure your appliance is accessible, for example removable from under worktops.

If access is unsafe or impossible, the visit may be aborted and the call-out fee will apply.

The work area must be clean and hygienic. Unsafe environments, such as those with rodent or insect presence, will result in cancellation, and the call-out fee will still apply.

Spinfixx takes great care when moving or reinstalling appliances but cannot accept liability for minor cosmetic damage unless caused by proven negligence.

Any damage must be reported to the engineer immediately or by emailing spinfixx@outlook.com within 48 hours.

2.2 Your Plumbing and Water Connections

What we're not: We repair washing machines—we're not plumbers. That means water damage from existing plumbing issues isn't something we can take responsibility for.

What you need to do before we arrive:
Before our engineer comes out, please check that:
• Your home isolation valves are in good working order
• Your pipes aren't corroded or damaged
• Your drainage points are clear and functional
• You know where your main water stopcock is (in case of emergency)

What we won't cover:
We can't be held responsible for water damage, flooding, or leaks caused by:
• Existing plumbing problems
• Frozen or burst pipes
• Old or corroded pipes or valves that fail during or after we disconnect and reconnect your machine

Why this matters: Even though we're careful, old plumbing can fail when we're working with water connections. Knowing your water stopcock location helps you stop leaks quickly if something goes wrong.

2.3 Appliance Condition & Fault Details

If faults are due to misuse, neglect, or poor installation, or if appliance details differ from those given, the labour charge applies.

If repairs are uneconomical or parts are unavailable, only the call-out and diagnostic fees apply; unused parts will be refunded.

If the appliance type or size differs from that booked, charges may be adjusted.

Some appliances cannot be repaired due to technical limitations; we will advise accordingly.

2.4 Cancellations & Payments

Please give notice if you need to cancel or reschedule before the engineer’s visit.

Once the engineer has attended or work has begun, the applicable call-out or labour fee applies.

Non-payment may result in debt recovery action.

2.5 When Repairs Can’t Be Completed

If a repair cannot be completed due to obsolete parts, excessive cost, or safety concerns, we will clearly explain your options.

Any unused parts will be refunded.

3. Repair Guarantee

3.1 What’s Covered

All repairs by Spinfixx carry a one-month guarantee covering labour and parts fitted by us.

The guarantee is void if a new, unrelated fault occurs, the appliance is moved to a new address, or another company or individual repairs or services the appliance after our visit.

3.2 What’s Not Covered

Normal-wear items such as belts, pulleys, motor brushes, door handles, seals, glass, control knobs, trims, and LEDs.

Parts failing due to misuse, unrelated faults, or normal wear such as fuses, PCBs, and belts.
